Support for Researchers Working Under Difficult Circumstances

Pollution & Diseases recognizes that valuable scientific research is sometimes conducted under conditions that significantly limit institutional, financial, or infrastructural support.

To ensure that important environmental health evidence is not lost due to external constraints, the journal provides structured support for eligible researchers.

Support may include:

·       full APC waivers

·       confidential financial consideration

·       editorial guidance during revision

·       language assistance for accepted manuscripts

·       flexible administrative timelines where appropriate

Eligibility may apply to researchers working in:

·       regions affected by environmental disasters

·       areas experiencing armed conflict

·       locations with severely disrupted research infrastructure

·       institutions with limited access to publication funding

Requests for support are handled confidentially and are assessed independently from editorial evaluation.

All manuscripts submitted under this program undergo the same rigorous peer-review process as all other submissions.
