Pollution and Diseases is a peer-reviewed, international, interdisciplinary academic journal dedicated to advancing scientific understanding of the complex relationships between environmental pollution and disease processes in human, animal, and ecological systems. The journal provides a platform for timely and rigorous scientific communication, emphasizing research that addresses both global environmental challenges and localized manifestations of pollution-related risks. Pollution and Diseases welcomes high-quality submissions from a broad range of disciplines, including but not limited to environmental sciences, toxicology, public and ecosystem health, medical geography, ecology, epidemiology, infectious ecology and climate impact studies. Research Infrastructure and Institutional Governance is a thematic institutional issue of Pollution and Diseases dedicated to the organizational, methodological, legal, and information structures that support interdisciplinary research.
The volume brings together institutional frameworks, laboratory charters, governance documents, research-infrastructure specifications, and related materials that define how complex scientific and applied projects can be organized, documented, financed, governed, and preserved over time.
Particular attention is given to project-based research structures, interdisciplinary laboratories, information systems, field research in conflict-affected environments, scientific independence, data integrity, institutional continuity, intellectual property, and the relationship between research evidence and decision support.
The documents published in this volume are intended to provide transparent and citable institutional foundations for research activities and to support the development of reproducible, durable, and internationally collaborative research infrastructure.
