2026: Research Infrastructure and Institutional Governance

Research Infrastructure and Institutional Governance is a thematic institutional issue of Pollution and Diseases dedicated to the organizational, methodological, legal, and information structures that support interdisciplinary research.

The volume brings together institutional frameworks, laboratory charters, governance documents, research-infrastructure specifications, and related materials that define how complex scientific and applied projects can be organized, documented, financed, governed, and preserved over time.

Particular attention is given to project-based research structures, interdisciplinary laboratories, information systems, field research in conflict-affected environments, scientific independence, data integrity, institutional continuity, intellectual property, and the relationship between research evidence and decision support.

The documents published in this volume are intended to provide transparent and citable institutional foundations for research activities and to support the development of reproducible, durable, and internationally collaborative research infrastructure.
